When preparing to sit the Pre-Employment Structured Clinical Interview (PESCI) with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM), it’s important as an IMG to be familiar with ACRRM’s website and the website’s most relevant and important web pages. To assist you with this process, we’ve put together a list of the top five website links we recommend all IMGs visit on ACRRM’s website when preparing to sit their PESCI.

1. About Us

https://www.acrrm.org.au/about-the-college

The best starting point we recommend for all IMGs is the About Us page. With so many different third parties involved in the registration process in Australia (such as the AMC and MBA), it can be confusing figuring out what the role of every organisation is.

This page outlines the role of ACRRM and the services they provide.

2. PESCI Eligibility

This page covers the three eligibility requirements needed in order to be eligible to apply for a PESCI. All IMGs should ensure that they meet these requirements before proceeding to the application submission.

3. PESCI Process

The next page we recommend IMGs review is the PESCI Process page. Here you will find the detailed steps of the full PESCI application process, including what documents need to be submitted for the application, how many days application confirmation can take, when interview dates will be released, and the process after attending the PESCI.

4. PESCI Overview

As the heading indicates, this web page on the ACRRM website covers all things related to the PESCI including a link to the fees page and application page. You can also access details about the interview such as the panel and structure, and information about the face-to-face interview venues and online interview requirements.

5. Becoming a Member/ Application Submission

Once you’re ready to submit an application, the next step is to create an online account,  and then submit an application via your account. There is also a form and information on this page about joining the college as an associate member.
